Staff Tasks

The Staff Tasks feature provides an overview of all tasks created by the Admin and staff within Logify, available for review in either a Calendar or Table view.

1. Calendar View

The Calendar View displays tasks for a selected month, defaulting to the current month.

  • Navigation: You can navigate between months.
  • View Options: It allows toggling between month, week, and day views.
  • Benefit: This makes it easy to see task schedules and deadlines across different time frames.

2. Table View

The Table View shows a complete list of all tasks created to date.

  • Filtering: A date filter allows you to narrow down tasks based on specific time periods.
  • Benefit: This provides flexibility in tracking both past and upcoming tasks.

Task Summary Cards

In both the Calendar and Table views, four summary cards provide a quick snapshot of task-related data:

  1. Hours Recorded: Total hours logged while working on tasks, helping track overall staff activity.
  2. Total Cost: Cumulative amount the Admin owes to staff members for completed tasks, offering an overview of task-related expenses.
  3. Max Recorded By: Highlights the staff member who has logged the most hours on tasks, displaying their name and total recorded hours for easy reference.
  4. Unpaid Hours: Total hours that have not yet been compensated, allowing the Admin to keep track of pending payments for task work.

Together, these views and summary cards provide a clear, organized way to monitor, plan, and manage task completion and associated costs.

Creating a Task

You can create a task in two ways: either through the Chrome extension or the Admin Portal.

Task Creation Methods

  1. Creating a Task via Chrome Extension: Click the "Create Task" button located under the Current Task section.
  2. Admin Portal: Select the "Create task" option from the sub menu.

To complete the task creation form, follow these steps:

  1. Task Title (required): Provide the name of the task you plan to work on.
  2. Type of Task (required):
    • Record Task: This is a timer-based task that starts recording immediately upon creation. You can stop the timer either from the Admin Portal or the Chrome extension.
    • Manual Entry: Specify the start and end date for a manually tracked task.
  3. Billable (optional): Indicate whether this task is billable.
  4. Project (optional): Assign a specific project to the task for better organization.
  5. Tag (optional): Add tags to categorize and identify the task more easily.

This flexible task creation process helps you track and manage work efficiently, whether tasks are time-based or manually recorded.
